Japanese innovation
Apply your foundation or liquid product to your face first, using your hands or a brush.
Then use the Bello Smart Sponge to blend it out.
The Bello Sponge is designed to be used dry for hygienic purposes. However, if you prefer to use it wet, you can. Unlike traditional makeup sponges, it won't expand or absorb excess product when damp. If used wet, it should be washed after every use, just like any other wet makeup sponge.
Important: don't apply product directly onto the sponge. It's designed to work as a finishing tool that evenly presses and smooths product into the skin, not as an applicator. Putting foundation on the sponge first is the most common reason people experience blotchy or uneven results.
For the fastest blend:Â
Use the sponge without the finger straps for full control over the surface area.
Try using it upside down:
This lets you create any tip size you want.

They can also be used to blend other liquid or cream products, such as blush, bronzer, highlighter, and concealer.
The Bello Sponge is made from a Japanese non-absorbent material, which means it doesn't pull product into it's material, the product stays on the surface. This makes it faster to use and saves you product.
However, the Bello Sponge does need to be washed more frequently than a typical sponge. After about five to ten days of use, depending on how often you use it and the product you're applying, you'll notice a thin film forming on the surface. This means it's time to wash it.
The Bello Sponge should be washed using a bar soap, not a gentle soap. Because it's a dense material, a gentle soap won't clean it thoroughly enough or fully remove the foundation.
Rub the bar soap onto the material and wash it under water until the foundation color is fully removed from the surface.
After washing, pat it dry with a towel, don't twist or wring it, and leave it in a ventilated area to air dry.
The Bello Sponge generally lasts 3 to 5 months with regular use, though this varies depending on how frequently you use it. You'll know it's time to replace it once you start noticing small rips or tears in the surface.
Yes to all three. The Bello Sponge is made from premium synthetic materials, and there is no animal testing involved in its production.
The Bello Sponge is made from premium materials, including the highest-quality Japanese micropore Bello-Cell material, which needs to be imported.
It's hand-assembled, and the straps and adhesive go through a special process to make them extremely soft and flexible, so soft they're nearly unfelt when you touch the sponge. That careful, multi-step hand process is what makes it more expensive to produce.
